چکیده

Abstract We present the visual orbits of four spectroscopic binary stars, HD 61859, 89822, 109510, and 191692, using long baseline interferometry with CHARA Array. also obtained new radial velocities from echelle spectra APO 3.5 m, CTIO 1.5 Fairborn Observatory 2.0 m telescopes. By combining astrometric observations, we solve for full, three-dimensional determine stellar masses to 1%–12% uncertainty distances 0.4%–6% uncertainty. then estimate effective temperature radius each component star through Doppler tomography spectral energy distribution analyses. found 1.4–3.5 M ⊙ , radii 1.5–4.7 R temperatures 6400–10,300 K. compare observed parameters predictions evolution models, but that only one our systems fits well evolutionary models.

The visual orbits of the spectroscopic binaries HD 6118 and HD 27483 from the Palomar Testbed Interferometer

We present optical interferometric observations of two double-lined spectroscopic binaries, HD 6118 and HD 27483, taken with the Palomar Testbed Interferometer (PTI) in the K band. HD 6118 is one of the most eccentric spectroscopic binaries and HD 27483 a spectroscopic binary in the Hyades open cluster. The data collected with PTI in 2002-2003 allow us to determine astrometric orbits and when c...

Separated Fringe Packet Observations with the Chara Array. I. Methods and New Orbits for Χ Draconis, Hd 184467, and Hd 198084

We present the modification of the orbits of χ Draconis and HD 184467, and a completely new orbit for HD 198084, including data taken at the Center for High Angular Resolution Astronomy (CHARA) Array. These data were obtained using a modification of the technique of separated fringe packets (SFPs). The accuracy of the SFP data surpasses that of data taken by speckle, but the technique is much m...

The puzzling abundance pattern of HD 134439 and HD 134440 ⋆

Abundances of 18 elements are determined for the common proper-motion pair, HD134439 and HD 134440, which shows high [Mn/Fe] and low [α/Fe] ratios as compared to normal halo stars. Moreover, puzzling abundances are indicated from elements whose origins are normally considered to be from the same nucleosynthesis history. Particularly, we have found that [Mg/Fe] and [Si/Fe] are lower than [Ca/Fe]...

The Spectroscopic Orbital Period of Hd 45166

HD 45166 was selected as a candidate to the V Sagittae Class. It’s spectrum shows quite narrow emission lines of He, C, N, and O, possibly indicating a low inclination for the binary system. We performed high resolution and high stability Coudé spectroscopy in order to search for low amplitude radial velocity variations. The orbital period determined from the radial velocity curve is 0.357 days...

The Ap spectroscopic binary HD 59435 revisited ? , ? ?

HD 59435 is a double-lined spectroscopic binary, one component of which is a magnetic Ap star and the other a G8 or K0 giant (Wade et al. 1996). Both components are very slowly rotating, and the Ap star exhibits spectral lines resolved into their magneti cally-split components. Herein we report additional measurements of the mean magnetic field modulus of the Ap star, measurements of the radial...
